I just wanted to give a quick note for those that might be new to the south, or small town south- I always used to say You Guys instead of Y’all and accidently offended some people- they found you guys as the multiple plural really cold, standoffish, and rude. I got a bit of a lecture about it at one point… and after that, despite it grating on my nerves every last time I’ve said it, I’ve made a point of using y’all when I’m in the south. It does seem to help.
If you’re in the south, you might want to use y’all.
